Anshi Moreno is a sophomore at Harvard College concentrating in Social Studies with a secondary in Psychology. She was born in Ecuador but moved to Boston when she was younger and has lived here since. At the college she is involved with the Latinas Unidas/Latina Empowerment and Development Conference community, the First Generation Student Union, and she works for the office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion as a Diversity Peer Educator. She is also involved with Harvard Model United Nations and the HACIA Democracy organization. Anshi finds her interests and organizations by thinking deeply about how she is helping to make Harvard and other spaces more inclusive and by finding ways to empower peoples’ important stories and voices. She has had the opportunity to get to know and understand Harvard at a deeper level through the Harvard First Generation Program at the Admissions and Financial Aid Office this past summer and she looks forward to find ways to make Harvard a more welcoming home.
