Shaiba Rather is a senior at the College living in Cabot House. In the Social Studies department, Shaiba focuses on religious minorities in South Asia. Her academic interests primarily include theories of nationalism, citizenship, and secularism. Shaiba will spend her senior year writing a thesis on the relationship between Dalits and Muslims in the contemporary Indian cow slaughter debate. This December, Shaiba will conclude her term as the Undergraduate Council President and looks forward to her involvement in the Task Force even after her presidency.
