Jordan is a Mechanical Engineering and Material Science Ph.D. Student at Harvard University. Using beaver dams as her model structures, Jordan is interested in how relatively poor materials can be implemented in the build of mechanically robust structures. Jordan earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University - Bozeman. Jordan is an active member of AISES, HUNAP, SACNAS, is a Ford Fellow, a GEM Fellow, and a recipient of the internal Harvard PRIZE Fellowship. Jordan was raised on a cattle ranch in northwestern Montana on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. She is a first generation descendant of the Blackfeet Tribe. The bulk of her thesis work will be conducted on the Blackfeet Reservation where she will engage youth from the Blackfeet tribe in her research.
